John, of Union Co. Beagles was Indiana Beagler's Alliance 's first regional director; for the
southeast portion of the state, and went on to become our first and only state director.
John served as head of our regional directors and as communications director for almost
three years before he passed away from complications with his diabetes and a
kidney transplant. He had been raising beagles for 7yrs and, and planned  to continue do
so for many years. John is missed so very much as his energy and excitement about
Rabbit hunting, Beagles, and the Alliance was catching by anyone that was close to him.
John's family has a long history of being involved in hound sports.  His father is the only
person to ever win "Autumn Oaks" and "The UKC Little World" championships in the
same year.
John was an avid Field Trailer in ARHA Little Pack.  He preferred a faster dog with the
most hunt he could get.  He bred dogs based on Turbo Powered By Prop. The results
dogs with speed and line control with a nose to handle the speed they carry without
skirting, but driving to get the lead, and the brains to maintain it.

Gary's wife's name is Tonya and they have been married almost 29 years. He works as a
Capital Projects Engineer and travels about 50% of the time.
Lady is the one with the bell.  She is a year old grade dog, is Tonya's pet, and lives in the
garage. She ran her first rabbit solo when she was 8 months old.
Rebel is 6 years old and is AKC registered. Gary has had him about 15 months.
Gary just likes to hunt and run dogs, but doesn't
harvest many rabbits. He has never been to a trials.
He does try to run his dogs a least once a week.
Gary is our new region 4 Director
(southwest quarter of Indiana).
Rodney Perdew of New Castle teaches 8th
grade US History at Benjamin Rush Middle
School in Rushville, IN, and loves to hunt.
Rodney was chosen by Indiana Computer
Educators as the 2002 Indiana State Teacher of
the Year Runner-up.  He received a B.S. degree
from Ball State University and a M.Ed from
Indiana State.
Rodney's kids, ages 9 and 7, love to hunt as
much as he does.  They prove once and for all
that having a good hunting dog and a good pet
can be one and the same.

Well, he is having fun even if it is a
tame rabbit.
